The MCC Venture Award Jury 2012 assembled supreme Cleantech personalities of academia, industry, utilities and cialis generic free investment:
Dr. Andreas Breuer, Head of New Technologies, RWE Deutschland AG
Dr. Alois Flatz, Partner, Zouk Capital LLP
Gabriele Riedmann de Trinidad, SVP Strategic Area Energy, Deutsche Telekom AG
Prof. Eicke Weber, Head of Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems
Along the criteria of value proposition, level of innovation, market size and generic viagra online revenue potential, business model and woman and cialis management strength the MCC Venture Award Jury 2012 choose the MCC Venture Award Winner 2012.
Tigi’s innovative product Honeycomb Collector impressed the jury at best by combining high efficiency and material durability. The structure in between the glass cover and the absorber sheet is made from polycarbonates, which keep convective and radiative heat losses to a minimum. The TIGI technology leads to stagnation temperatures of 250 to 300 °C. The overheating protection is based on a separate pipe system with its own liquids on the collector’s back. This means it works whether or not water is circulating in the primary loop.
Under big applause of the nearly 200 Cleantech likeminded conference attendees Prof. Eicke Weber, Head of Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems and member of the MCC Venture Award Jury 2012 congratulated and handed the MCC Venture Cup to Zvika Klier, CEO of Tigi Ltd.
When asked about Tigi´s unique value proposition Zvika Klier commented: “Tigi´s Honeycomb Collector is the revolutionary, new and most effective type of solar thermal collector available for demanding applications. At its heart is a polymer-made layer of transparent insulation. This substance is transparent to solar irradiation, allowing for energy to enter the collector and heat the absorber plate. However, it creates a layer of air that cannot circulate, thus dramatically reducing losses related to convection – the major reason for energy losses and lower efficiency of flat plate collectors at high temperature differentials.”
